StarTran Realtime Theory, published by Santa Barbara Court Reporting Clinic, is a
comprehensive, dynamic program for learning computerized realtime machine shorthand
used by today's professional court reporters, captioners, and high-speed transcriptionists
(stenoscriptionists).
StarTran Realtime Theory textbooks, audiotapes, and computer tutor lessons were developed
by certified reporting instructor Marlene Struss and have been used by students
and teachers for over 15 years. StarTran is one of the few court reporting theories
awarded approval by the National Court Reporters Association.
StarTran is the only theory flexible and instructive enough to be used:
- in a formal classroom setting
- for individualized instruction
- long-distance learning, or
- as your own self-taught home study
course.
"I
received Basic Theory, and may I say I am so excited! I only got to
read a little of it, but so far, I love it...."
